Training for Auricular Acu-Techs (AAT) also called Acu-Detox Specialists (ADS) involves learning the 5-Needle Protocol, which is also known as 5NP, acudetox, or the NADA protocol. This simple, inexpensive, safe, and effective ear acupuncture treatment created for non-acupuncturists has been used over the last 40 years to address issues related to addiction, support in recovery, trauma, pain, toxic stress and more.
The training fee is $375 (+ $50 for POCA Membership*). Materials/supplies and a training manual are included in the cost of the training. Training fee is due in the full amount at least two weeks ahead of time and secures your spot for the training (spots are limited).
Training takes place in-person Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am - 5pm.
There will be two opportunities on Saturday and again on Sunday (10am and 2pm) to practice on volunteers and start getting your required practice treatments. You will be given announcement information to share on your social media or to invite friends and family to participate.

Classroom and take-home study materials include: neuroscience of trauma, root causes of addiction, harm reduction, trauma-informed care, history of auricular acupuncture in the US, state regulations for practicing ear acupuncture. Trainees must attend all 3 days.
